About Minna no Strider

Minna no Strider (“Everyone’s Strider”) is a community guide for parents, teams and race organisers who ride Strider and other running bikes. It began in 2013 as a Japanese blog-directory site.

What is a Strider?

A Strider is a pedal-less balance bike. Children push along with their feet, so even two- and three-year-olds can control it and pick up balance and a feel for speed naturally.

With no pedals or chain there are fewer parts to cause injuries, and the light, low frame is hard to tip over. Children who have learned balance this way usually move to a pedal bike with little fuss.
